You’ll typically see a zillion rainbow Pride flags during June, maybe even some bisexual, transgender, leather or bear flags, too. But there are a bunch of other LGBT flags and Pride flags you almost never see. We’ve gone through and compiled all the different LGBT flags we could find, even for groups we didn’t know had flags.

Before we jump into them, you should know that while the rainbow flag is linked with the gay community, we don’t consider it as the exclusively “gay” flag but a wholly inclusive Pride flag. That said, we also understand some groups can feel unrepresented by the current rainbow flag and embrace different iterations of it, like the version with black and brown stripes for people of color. We love that flag, too!

Also, our list of LGBT flags doesn’t only include Pride flags relating to sexual attraction but also gender identities. The distinctions get pretty specific, which might explain why you hardly ever see their flags in public, as their communities are more niche.

Here are several other LGBT Flags and Pride flags:

Abrosexual

Someone whose sexual identity changes fluidly.

Agender

Someone who doesn’t identify with any gender.

Androgynous

Someone with a partly male and partly female appearance; of indeterminate sex.

Androphilia

Someone attracted to men or masculinity.

Aromantic

Someone who who experiences little or no romantic attraction to others.

Asexual

Someone who experiences little or no sexual attraction to others.

Autosexual

Someone who is sexually attracted to themselves or prefers self-gratification over other forms of sexual activity.

Bear

A hairy, heavy-set gay or bisexual man and those who are attracted to them.

Bigender

Someone who identifies as having two genders.

Bisexual

Someone who is attracted to two or more genders or attracted to more than one gender. Some people prefer the term “pansexual,” as it doesn’t imply the gender binary.

Butch lesbian

A lesbian who dresses, acts or speaks in traditionally “masculine” ways.

Demisexual

Someone who doesn’t experience sexual attraction without a strong emotional connection with that person.

Gay

A homosexual man; there is no explicitly gay flag, so the rainbow flag often does double duty.

Genderqueer

Someone who doesn’t subscribe to conventional gender distinctions and identifies with neither, both or a combination of male, female or other genders.

Genderfluid

Someone whose gender identity changes over time, or any other combination of binary and non-binary identities.

Gynephilia

Someone attracted to women or femininity.

Intersex

(Alternate)

Someone who is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn’t fit the typical definitions of female or male.

Leather

Someone who practices any number of BDSM ritual, cultural or sexual practices including puppy play, BDSM (bondage-discipline/domination-submission/sadism-masochism), bootblacking, sir-boy/daddy relationships, rubber or latex play and other practices.

Lesbian

(Alternate)

A homosexual woman.

Lipstick lesbian

A lesbian who favors glamorous or traditionally feminine style.

Lithromantic

Someone who has a romantic attraction toward others but only enjoys romantic relationships in theory. Also known as an akoiromantic or apromantic.

Neutrois

A non-binary gender identity which is considered to be a neutral or null gender.

Non-binary

Someone who identifies as neither male nor female but a different gender entirely.

Pansexual

Someone who is attracted to all genders.

Polyamorous

Someone who has romantic relationships involving more than two people, but with the knowledge and consent of all involved.

Polysexual

Someone who is attracted to multiple (though not necessarily all) genders.

Pony play

Rubber/Latex

A subsection of the BDSM community in which the focus is on latex and rubber rather than leather.

Skoliosexual

Someone attracted to gender expressions other than cisgender.

Straight ally

A heterosexual or cisgender person who supports equal civil rights, gender equality, LGBT social movements and challenges homophobia, biphobia and transphobia.

Transgender

Someone who identifies as a gender that differs from the one assigned at birth.

Trigender

Someone experiencing exactly three gender identities — typically male, female and/or any non-binary identities — either simultaneously or alternately.

Two-spirit

A culturally distinct gender that describes Indigenous North Americans who fulfill one of many mixed gender roles found traditionally among many Native Americans and Canadian First Nations indigenous groups. Two-spirits are male-bodied or female-bodied persons with a masculine or feminine essence. Two-spirits can cross social gender roles, gender expression and sexual orientation.
