Famed Gay Porn Director Asks, How Would You Cast the Adult Version of ‘Rudolph’?
File this one under “Making the Yuletide gay.” Late last month, famed gay porn director-slash-drag queen Chi Chi LaRue — known for decades of provocative films, many under LaRue’s own Channel 1 Releasing company — took to Facebook to ask a very important question: “When you’re casting a gay porn version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, who would you pick for these roles?”
And, well, it got us thinking, too!
Sure, gay porn isn’t exactly something that goes hand-in-hand with Christmas, let alone beloved animated Christmas flicks for kids. But the gay porn parody business is an immensely popular one, and there’s a real market for taking our childhood guilty pleasures and making them a lot … naughtier.
We reached out to LaRue, who tells us that while the Rudolph porn parody isn’t actually in the works, not to count it out as a non-possibility, either.
“It’s not a reality, although I got so much response from it that maybe next year I’ll do it,” LaRue says of the Facebook inquiry. “Rudolph is one of my favorite holiday classics since I was a little baby, and since all the controversy this year over it and the hidden messages that people think are in it, I just thought it would be funny to put my two cents in and see who I’d cast if I was to make a porn version.”
Among the gay porn superstars who Chi Chi LaRue would cast in a Rudolph porn parody are a few “friends of Hornet,” including former performer and now-fellow porn director for Raging Stallion Steve Cruz, famed adult film stars Rocco Steele and Wesley Woods and Chi Chi LaRue herself, decked out in drag, who would be perfect for the role of Mrs. Claus.
“I strongly believe that whoever wrote [the film] and picked the characters and how they would act in the cartoon had to have a little gay in them,” LaRue says.
