The cast of the upcoming Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald appeared at San Diego Comic-Comic to promote the film. And while most of the cast were simply dressed like muggles, Ezra Miller queered things up a bit by dressing up as Toadette.

For those of you who don’t know, Toadette is a mushroom person existing in the Super Mario Bros. world. A few years back, a Nintendo producer confirmed that the entire species of Toads are genderless, despite having what some may see as gender identifiers.

In an interview at Comic-Con with SyFy, Miller explains the species of Toads to the rest of his cast. He says that Toadette is a fantastic beast of the Super Mario Bros world. He also calls them “adventure pals” and reminds everyone that they are not just mushrooms.

Outside of just serving a fierce lewk, Miller discussed the new Wizarding World flick with his fellow castmates. The cast, including Eddie Redmayne, Jude Law, Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Zoë Kravitz and Dan Fogler, talked about wand skills and other favorite moments while shooting.

While Jude Law mentioned reading the Harry Potter books to his children years before being cast as Dumbledore. Miller interjects asking if he read the character of Dumbledore with a specific voice to his kids and if he used a similar one for his role in the movie. Turns out Law has accidentally been preparing for this role for years!

Miller also showed his love of the Wizarding World (and his inherently cute geekiness). When asked what Harry Potter fans will geek out about in the new movie, he responded by saying, “everything” giddily.

This isn’t the first time Ezra Miller’s cosplay has left people in awe at Comic-Con. In past years, Miller has portrayed both Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist and Gandalf from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy.

What do you think of this Ezra Miller cosplay choice? What would you like to see him dress up as next year?
