Tobin is getting all stank about it to reporters. Hush, man. Jesus loves. “It is particularly disturbing that our new[…]

It seems like politics is everywhere these days. Ever since the 2016 presidential election, politics as usual seems to have flown the coop. In its place, we get Donald Trump. It’s hard to come up with a more divisive figure from the history of American politics. With his harsh words against Hispanics, Muslims, and just about every other minority group, President Trump is forcing everyone in this country to draw a line in the sand. President Trump’s ramblings are also making waves all over the world. Powerful allies including the U.K., Japan, Germany, and France have been left scratching their heads when it comes to making sense of Trump’s agenda.
Which is why it is crucial we stay current regarding anything and everything related to LGBT politics.
Trump has also proven himself to be a controversial figure within the LGBTQ community. While Trump has gone back and forth on issues like same-sex marriage, he continues to support a Republican agenda that seeks to dismantle the arts, give states the ability to discriminate against members of the LGBTQ community, and, oh yeah, he made former Indiana Governor Mike Pence his vice-president. Even if Trump hasn’t outright declared war on the LGBTQ community, he represents a direct threat to many of the issues that gay people care about most, including climate change, a free and open media, and support for the arts and public education.
In times like these, staying optimistic can be tricky; but we’re trying to add a little bit of flair to your political news. While you won’t find a comprehensive run-down of all the latest current events, you will find inspiring updates on LGBT politics about how gay individuals and powerful allies of the gay community are reacting to President Trump. Find out how the Trump Administration will affect members of the gay community, including everything from healthcare to education, spats on Fox News to those WTF moments on Twitter. Here’s to you, America.
